The "Masters" in the Masters of Animanga project are professional artists, writers, and producers who created worlds and characters that the fans wrote the stories about.

Takashi OkazakiEdit

Takashi Okazaki is a graphic and visual designer, and a manga artist, most well known for the work Afro Samurai. He contributed to the creation of the characters and world of Red Bat. 

Hiroaki IkegamiEdit

Hiroaki Ikegami was the executive producer for the anime Catblue: Dynamite and the publicity producer for Space Battleship Yamato 2199. He contributed the the creation of Red Bat's world and characters.


Masao MaruyamaEdit

Masao Maruyama is a film producer, animation developer, the co-founder, board of directors member, and producer of Studio Madhouse, which has animated many notable works including Trigun, Ninja Scroll, and Summer Wars. A 40 year veteran in the anime industry, Maruyama is responsible for greenlighting new projects, and often selecting a project's staff. He contributed to the creation of the world and characters of Red Bat.


Shin-ichi HiromotoEdit

Shin-ichi Hiromoto is a Japanese manga artist and character designer, who created on manga adaptations of the series Star Wars, and designs for Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. He created the world and characters for TAO: Rise of the Ying-Yang.

Yoshitaka AmanoEdit

Yoshitaka Amano is a Japanese artist, character designer, illustrator, as well as a theater and film scenic designer and costume designer. He worked on the Speed Racer anime in the 1960s, has created iconic characters such as Gatchaman and Tekkaman: The Space Knight, and made illustrations for novels, such as Vampire Hunter D, and the video game franchase Final Fantasy. He recently established a film production company called Studio Devaloka, and is directing the film Deva Zan. Amano contributed to the creation of the world and characters of The Fading Light: A Tale of Zan.

Kazuo KoikeEdit

Kazuo Koike is a Japanese manga artist and novelist. Along with Goseki Kojima, he created the manga Lone Wolf and Cub and helped create Crying Freeman. Koike also created a college course meant to teach people how to become manga artists. He contributed to the creation of the world and characters of The Fading Light: A Tale of Zan.
